Well, don't know if anyone is actually reading this, but this is as much for me as anyone else. Haven''t had the chance to post a bunch since I started my new job.
I started work last week, thanks to a good friend of mine I got a job in a huge company that handles payroll and taxes for companies worldwide. First time that I have ever really experienced the large corporate lifestyle, and I have to say that this is really not for me. Just too many damn levels of bureaucracy involved in moving up in the company, and just not my idea of a good time to spend the next 30 yrs of my life putting in 70+hrs to make VP and still only make like 100k a year.
But can't really complain, since it is a job and I am making some real money for the first time in almost 9 months. So the plan is to use the awesome benefits that the job has and go back to school and finish up my degree. Basically this job will pay for all of my schooling no strings attached, so for at least the next couple of years I will be slaving behind a desk.
But there are worse things in life, it is going to allow me to get back into poker full time, and hopefully(as long as my wonderful govt. doesn't fuck this up) I can supplement my income enough with my winnings that I can leave the job sooner than 3 yrs. My goal is to leverage as much of my money into poker so I can leave behind the drudgery of corporate work and go back to doing what I enjoy, which is coach and work on my own business ideas.
As for the poker, I will post some recent hands tomorrow, and probably a video within the next couple of weeks. GL at the tables, and no matter how bad you think life may be, you really only lose when you give up!!
